Eureka Man Arrested for Domestic Violence Incident

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) — A man is in custody after Eureka Police Department responds to a domestic violence incident.

Officers arrived on location to take 31-year-old Shelton Dewayne Cry into custody. When they located him, he tried to flee from the scene.

There was a struggle between Cry and the officers but he was eventually placed in handcuffs.

A firearm was discovered in the front waistband of his pants.

Cry was taken into custody for domestic battery and other charges. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
