Animal Shelter needs help maintaining Medical Fund

McKinleyville, Ca., (KIEM) The Humboldt County Animal Shelter has an Emergency Medical Fund and needs help maintaining it.

The fund is sponsored by Friends For Life Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization.

The donations that keep the shelter’s emergency fund afloat are tax-deductible and every penny that goes into the fund, said the Facilities Manager of animal shelter, goes directly to the animals that are in the shelter that need medical care.

“Your donations definitely help,” said Andre Hale. “This little guy here is going to need surgery at some point, and we don’t know what’s going to need to be done yet. And that fund is making it possible for us to do that. But every penny that we spend out of it needs to be replaced.”
