Housing Element, Unmet Transit Needs on City Council Agenda

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — Tuesday afternoon, the Eureka City Council is holding a special meeting to discuss and refine the content of the draft Eureka housing element. At the meeting, the council will receive a report on the housing element and then decide which direction they will be moving forward in.

A few other items are also on the agenda. There will be a public hearing on unmet transit needs here on the north coast. That information will then be sent to the Humboldt County Association of Governments.

The council will also be looking at approving a funding agreement with the Betty Kwan Chin Homeless Foundation to continue operating betty’s village until October 2020.
