Structure Fire in Eureka

EUREKA (KIEM)– A structure in Eureka could have taken a turn for the worse if not for the quick response of fire personnel and a concerned citizen.

Monday evening around 9, fire personnel responded to X Street in Eureka for reports of a structure fire.

The call came in from a passerby. When fire officials arrived, they found debris on fire along the side of the small car dealership. They were able to extinguish the flames before it spread to the building.

The fire only scorched the side of the building.

Humboldt Bay Fire responded to the scene.
