EUREKA (KIEM) – Kids over at Washington elementary started their school year with a powerful message: Stand Up and Speak Out! It’s part of the school’s social and emotional curriculum.
The Stand Up and Speak Out or SUSO PROGRAM is put on by Way Beyond Measure. The group travels around the country to teach kids empathy, respect, and safety. They do this through music, games, and funny skits.
Founder David Verdu was a teacher for thirty years. He says, he started to program to create a lasting memory on the kids and teach them good character.
