Assault Victim dies from injuries, autopsy scheduled

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) An assault victim dies from his injuries according to Eureka Police. 

They say 55-year-old Brett Keiling was the man who was assaulted near the 400 block of Third Street in Eureka, a few weeks ago. 

Police say Keiling recently just moved to Eureka from Indiana before the incident. 

They say this is now an active homicide investigation and an autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
