Southern Humboldt Restored with Power after Late Night Outage

SOUTHERN HUMBOLDT, Ca.(KIEM) — Power has been restored in Southern Humboldt after power went out after 11 last night.

Crews worked safely and quickly to restore power to about 5,000 customers.

PG&E’s Humboldt Division activated its local Operations Emergency Centers to respond to the outages.

Those impacted by the power outage are from Garberville and Redway. Other areas impacted are: Honeydew, Leggett, Whitethorn and Petrolia.

The cause of the outage is still under investigation but helicopter patrols confirmed the cause was alond Alderpoint Road.
