Eureka, Ca, (KIEM) Police are still trying to put the pieces together on how a structure fire began last night in Eureka.
Humboldt Bay Fire arrived at a home on the 1000 block of B Street late Friday night.
Police say the fire had spread quickly from the first floor through the second into the attic of the home, but they are not exactly sure how the fire started.
According to officials, fire crews were able to reach and put out the fire by creating multiple holes in the roof.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The occupant, along with two dogs, three ducks, and a cat, all made it out safe.
The damage is around $600,000.
