The California State University (CSU) Chancellor announced his plan to retire.

Chancellor Timothy P. White announced he is planning to retire in 2020.

The CSU Board of Trustees will begin a search for White’s replacement immediately.

A Special Committee will conduct a listening tour across the state in November and December.

Their goal is to appoint his replacement by the end of the current academic year in summer 2020.

White has served as CSU Chancellor since 2012.

Under his tenure, student enrollment has increased and graduation rates for both first-time students and transfer students are at all-time highs.
