Fortuna, Ca (KIEM) — Two students are in custody after reports of a plan to harm other students at Fortuna High School.
School officials received information about a plot two students had to harm a group of students. They immediately called Fortuna Police and reported the unnamed threat.
According to police, two suspects were arrested on campus Tuesday afternoon. They are being charged with conspiracy, making terrorist threats, and disruption of a school.
At this time, police are investigating the connection between the suspects and targeted students. Law enforcement believes the two in custody were the only people involved and there is no ongoing threat.
Police were unable to specify the type of threat because it is still an ongoing investigation. Fortuna Police say they will continue to release more information as their investigation into the students continues.
