Man dies after traffic collision on Alderpoint Road

Humboldt County, Ca., (KIEM) One man is dead after a fatal traffic collision on Alderpoint Road Friday night.

California Highway Patrol officials say the male driver was going eastbound on Alderpoint Road at an unknown speed, and for reasons still under investigation, he allowed his vehicle to travel off the edge of the roadway down a steep embankment.

Officials say he was ejected from his truck and died from his injuries.

It’s still unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor.

The crash remains under investigation. were
