Missing Arcata Man found Safe

Arcata, Ca, (KIEM) A man is safe and sound after being reported missing.

Saturday, police got a tip that a resident saw a person, that appeared to be Arthur Barab – the man reported missing Friday in Arcata.

The caller said they saw the man near the North Jetty on the Samoa Peninsula. When police arrived, it was in fact, Arthur Barab.

According to police Barab suffers from dementia and left his house on Maria Court Friday afternoon.

Barab was evaluated by medical personnel as a precaution and determined to be in good health.
