Humboldt Braces for Another Public Safety Power Shutoff

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM) — Monday evening, power has been restored for Humboldt County residents, but may be shut off again shortly.

Around noon Monday, power began being restored to customers across the county. According to PG&E, they are closely following a potential wind event on Tuesday, October 29th through midday Wednesday for Northern California.

Right now, 32 counties are expected to be impacted by the shutoff, including Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity counties. Right now, the power company has confirmed power will be turned off Tuesday morning between 4 and 6 am through midday Wednesday.
