Humboldt Bay Fire Opens Their Doors for Trick-or-Treaters

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) – To celebrate Halloween this year, all Humboldt Bay Fire stations are opening up their doors to trick-or-treaters.

Fire crews at stations 1 through 5 will be handing out candy to kids all decked out in their best costumes. It’s also a chance for community members to learn more about what Humboldt Bay Fire does to protect the community.

HBF does want to remind residents of a few safety tips to keep in mind tonight. Keep a flashlight handy, make sure your costume isn’t too long that you can trip or get caught on something, and always look both ways before crossing the street.

The department loves doing events like this and giving the community a safe place to celebrate Halloween.

If you want to check it out, you can stop by any of the HBF stations tonight from now until 7:30 pm.
