EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – The winter months are here and with it temperatures can drop to freezing levels making it hard for the homeless.
The Eureka Police Department want to remind the community that shelters are available to those in need.
Eureka Rescue Mission on 2nd St. accepts men, women and children. Guests are offered clothing, showers and other services including breakfast and dinner.
The Betty Kwan Chinn Day Center located on 7th Street is a first come, first serve, one night only shelter.
The center offers food, clothing and houses men and women. Anyone can drop by between 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. to reserve a space for the night.
