Humboldt County Sends Letter to PG&E

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Chairman Rex Bohn and Sheriff Billy Honsal sent a letter to PG&E about the recent power shutoffs.

In the letter, Bohn and Honsal asked PG&E’s CEO and Vice President why the community was affected by the shutdown even though Humboldt has its own power plants.

One of the bigger questions asked in the letter is why the utility company did not plan to develop a grid for Humboldt County when the new power plant was being constructed.

Bohn and Honsal also asked PG&E to hold a public forum in Humboldt or come to a board of supervisor’s meeting to explain and answer these concerns.
