Christmas Tree Permits Going up for Sale

The holidays are around the corner and Six Rivers National Forests is opening up for Christmas Trees.

Six Rivers Forest Supervisor, Ted McCarthur, announces that Christmas tree permits will be available starting this Thursday, Nov. 7 through Dec. 20th.

Anyone can purchase a $10 permit from all forests offices and the Del Norte County Chamber of Commerce.

There is a limit of two tags per household but one person can purchase up to five tags as long as separate names and addresses are provided with each additional tag.

Permits are free to any Fourth Grader who participates in the Every Kid Outdoor program. The student or their teacher can sign up online and bring the printed pass to any forest office to get their permit.
