Inspection Results for Local Food Places Now Online

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt County’s Department of Health and Human Services inspection reports for local food facilities is now online.

The D.H.H.S. Director Melissa Martel says going electronic will make the reports more accessible.

The D.H.H.S. staff performs 1,400 to 1,500 routine retail food facility inspections annually throughout the county.

Retail food facilities include: restaurants, grocery stores, school cafeterias, gas stations and other places where food is sold.

Inspection results are posted within a week of inspection date. Currently, online reports are available going back a year.
