Suspected Man Arrested After Shooting Fireworks Over High School Football Game

Crescent City, Ca. (KIEM)– A man is behind bars after reportedly launching fireworks over a high school football game.

Crescent City Police say on Friday, an explosive firework was launched from an area just to the east of the football field. The firework then exploded directly over several players on the field.

The suspect, 26-year-old, Levi Jesse Cochran was then apprehended by several parents and attendees of the game.

CCPD officer Yeng Lo was at the football game and was able to request other units for backup.

CCPD worked with the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Cochran.

This is still and ongoing investigation.
