Weaverville Man Arrested for Possession of Meth

WILLOW CREEK, Ca. (KIEM) – A 48-year-old man from Weaverville is in custody for possession of 30 grams of methamphetamine.

A Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped Danny Marcelli around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, for a vehicle code violation near the 100 block of Bigfoot Ave. in Willow Creek.

Marcelli was driving with an expired license, and the deputy asked him to step out of the vehicle. As he exited, the deputy saw a plastic bag of methamphetamine fall near the driver’s seat.

The Sheriff’s deputy searched Marcelli and found another bag of methamphetamine on him.

Marcelli was arrested and booked for drug charges in addition to driving without a license and insurance.
