Crescent City Man Arrested for Burglary

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A Crescent City man is in custody for stealing a plumbing tool from a Eureka business.

The owner of the business on the 1500 block of 4th St. called the Eureka Police Department around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Officers met with the owner to review the surveillance video.

It showed 59-year-old Russel Herman Walters and an unidentified woman load the tool into a white vehicle before driving away.

Shortly after taking the report, an officer located the vehicle nearby.

Officers made contact with Walters and found the stolen tool in the truck.

Walters was arrested and booked for burglary and solicitation of a prostitute.
