Eureka Man identified in fatal Del Norte crash

CRESCENT CITY, CA (KIEM)-A Eureka man who died in a solo crash in Del Norte county is identified.

The Del Norte County Coroner’s office said 37-year-old Therin Brooks was killed in a crash last Friday morning on Highway 101 north of Damnation Creek.

The CHP said Brooks was driving a Toyota Prius that veered off the roadway going down a steep embankment and collided with a large tree.

Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene.
