HSU and College of the Redwoods Summit

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Leaders from Humboldt State and College of the Redwoods gathered for a recent summit to discuss potential collaborations.

HSU President Tom Jackson, CR President Keith Flamer,and other leaders from both campuses gathered at College of the Redwoods.

Those that attended joined in discussions to strengthen commitment to support students and help them earn a Bachelor’s Degree.

The two institutions already have some collaborations underway.

CR recently announced the creation of new degree pathways in social justice, environmental science, and social work and human services.

The three pathways will help students attend HSU or other four year universities.

CR Students and employees can check out books and access other resources at HSU’s Library.

Lastly, HSU announced in March the launch of a nursing program. The program, created with the help of CR, will help registered nurses with an Associate’s Degree complete their Bachelor’s at HSU.
