Ranked Choice Voting, Parking Permit Program on Eureka City Council Agenda

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — Down at city hall, the Eureka City Council is back to work at their monthly meeting.

Tuesday night, the council will be holding a public hearing on the Eureka housing element update. They will hear input from community members and continue the hearing until December 1st.

Also on the agenda, the council will discuss switching over to ranked choice voting for electing the mayor and city council members. A residential parking permit program for neighborhoods in the vicinity of eureka high school is up for approval. If approved, the program would be up and running by January 2020.

The meeting is Tuesday night at 6 pm in council chambers.
