New Hours for Crescent City Public Offices

CRESCENT CITY, Ca. (KIEM) – Crescent City public offices are changing their hours of operation for the upcoming year.

Beginning Jan. 2, 2020, offices such as City Hall and Public Works will open 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and remain open during lunch every Monday through Thursday.

This change is part of the city’s focus to improve customer service.

Currently some city offices are open either 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and some offices close for lunch.

These hours make it difficult for individuals working a traditional 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. schedule.

The new schedule allows city staff to provide customer service for 10 hours per day.
