Arcata Police Receives Grant from California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control

Arcata, Ca. (KIEM) — The Arcata Police Department receives a $31,000 grant from the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control. It’s through the alcohol policing partnership program.

APD is putting these funds toward education and prevention programs, as well as enforcement operations throughout the community.

Their primary focus will be on the furnishing of alcohol to minors, minors in possession of alcohol, licensee education and compliance, serving overly intoxicated patrons, public intoxication and drug activity on or near licensed premises. 

The California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control issues 51 grants annually to law enforcement agencies throughout California.
