Emergency Responders Complete Wellness Training

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt County Sheriff’s officers complete an innovative wellness training.

Local emergency personnel had the opportunity to develop resilience and wellness skills in a first of its kind training in Humboldt County.

Last week, 44 emergency responders participated in the training.

Instructors from Pacific Mindfulness emphasized strategies designed to increase self-awareness, self-regulation, and situational awareness.

Participants learned about neurobiology, and physiology of stress and trauma to help mitigate consequences from their law enforcement roles.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office continues to explore innovative training opportunities.
