Sarah Marie Luttio

SCOTIA, Ca. (KIEM) – Three people are arrested for trespassing and unlawful assembly in Scotia.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Humboldt Redwood Company around 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Deputies arrived on scene at the access gate on Mattole Rd. and found six protesters blocking a logging truck.

The protesters were ordered to leave the property, and deputies recognized one of the protesters as 33-year-old Saura Marie Luttio.

Luttio has a court-issued order restricting her from entering the HRC property, and was arrested on site.

Protester, 23-year-old Daniel Joseph Schurman refused to leave and was arrested.

Deputies also found 24-year-old Isabel Xochitl Osheroff had attached herself with a device to the undercarriage of the logging truck and refused to leave.

Osheroff also was in violation of a court-issued order restricting her from the HRC property.

Deputies safely disconnected her from the device and placed her under arrest.
