Stabbing Suspect in Custody

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A Eureka man is in custody in connection to the stabbing on Bayshore Way.

Eureka Police responded to the 1300 block of Bayshore Way around noon on Tuesday, Nov. 26 and located a 52-year-old Eureka man with multiple stab wounds.

Emergency personnel transported the man to St. Joseph’s Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Based on information from their investigation, detectives identified 24-year-old Trevor Gillihan as a suspect in the stabbing.

Police located Gillihan around 12:45 p.m. near the foot of Vigo St. in Eureka, and booked him for attempted murder.
