Local, Family Run Christmas Tree Lot Opens for Business

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — It’s the day after Thanksgiving and that marks the start of the Christmas season. Many people are already heading out to find the perfect tree for their home.

For the Ferlan’s, Christmas trees have been the family business for generations. It’s the first day of sales and every single one of the trees on their lot is from their family farm, Mountain Fresh Tree Farm.

They’ve had the lot for the last 10 years, and before that, they sold their trees wholesale. They have a variety of different trees like douglas fir, grand fir, noble fir, and silver tips. They’re all fresh, fragrant, and affordable.

Brian Ferlan’s kids have been helping out at the tree lot for as long as they can remember, but don’t let their young age fool you. They’re experts when it comes to helping you pick out the perfect tree. They enjoy every second of getting to work with their family and interact with customers.

The lot is open every day leading up to Christmas and is located next to McDonald’s in front of the Bayshore Mall if you want to check it out.
