EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – It is Giving Tuesday, and Humboldt Bay Fire is asking for support for a local memorial.
So far the Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Eureka has reached 23 percent of their $40,000 goal.
Humboldt Bay Fire has chosen Clarke Plaza as the place to break ground for the memorial.
Humboldt Bay Fire is currently working with local artist to create a bronze memorial in honor of their six fallen brothers.
Those names are enshrined on the memorial in Sacramento, but they want to honor them here in Eureka.
To support their efforts visit Humboldt Bay Fire’s gofundme page.
