EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – An 89 year old female was rushed to the hospital after colliding into a utility pole.
The incident happened just after 5:30 Monday.
The female was traveling on 14th street when she didn’t see the curve in the road.
She continued straight and struck the utility pole at the corner of 14th and G Street in eureka.
Ambulance arrived on scene, she was complaining of chest pain and taken to the hospital.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
This investigation is still ongoing.
