Man Arrested for Package Theft

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A man is arrested after stealing a package off a resident’s porch.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s responded to the 2800 block of Hall Ave. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 around 2:30 p.m. in Eureka for reports of package theft that had just occurred.

The victim told deputies that as they pulled up to their residence, a man stole a package from their front porch, and fled the scene in a vehicle.

Deputies located the vehicle on Old Arcata Rd. near the Bayside Cutoff and stopped 46-year-old Roy Leon Moran.

During the traffic stop, deputies found the stolen package inside the vehicle.
