March Against Terra-Gen Wind Project

RIO DELL/SCOTIA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt residents will gather in Scotia and Rio Dell for a march to voice opposition to the Terra-Gen Wind Project.

Residents will gather at the Rio Del City Hall on Saturday, Dec. 14 and march to the Winema Theater in Scotia in support of the Planning Commission’s Denial of the wind project.

The march is a show of solidarity with the Wiyot, Yurok, and other tribes, along with the towns of Scotia, Rio Dell and residents in the Eel River Valley.

The event will feature speeches from tribal leaders, elected officials affected residents; as well as, art and music.

The Board of Supervisors are reviewing the appeal by Terra-Gen on Monday, Dec. 16 in a public hearing at the Adorni Center in Eureka.
