Salvation Army Needs Volunteers For Holiday Season

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM)- The Salvation Army is asking for the communities help to make the holiday season brighter for local children.

The charity organization will be handing out gifts to families in need tomorrow from 9 am until 3 pm, and they need volunteers to help kids pick their perfect gift.

The Salvation Army wants to make it a personalized experience for everyone. Volunteers will have a list with names, ages, and likes, and help guide families to the perfect gifts.

Also, volunteers are needed to be a kettlebell ringer. The non-profit is asking for those to work two to four hours to help alleviate some of their needs up until December 24th.

As of last night, they are 13-thousand dollars down from where they were last year.

The Salvation Army is also doing something new this year, allowing apple pay users to donate at any kettle site, along with receiving donations at eurekaredkettle.org.
