Scoping Period for Fire and Fuels Project Begins

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Six Rivers National forest seeks comments on forest-wide fuels and fuels project.

Six Rivers National Forest begins a 60-day scoping period on Friday, Dec. 20 for the Fire and Fuels project.

This event provides an opportunity to review and comment on land management activities proposed on public lands.

The project involves a series of vegetative hazardous fuels reduction and fire management treatments.

A public meeting will be held in January 2020 at the forest supervisor’s office in Eureka.

Residents can ask questions, share concerns, and provide input on the proposed project.
