Eureka, Ca. (KIEM)- A local non-profit receives thousands of dollars in donations all through the spirit of the holidays.
The Boys and Girls Club was presented 23-thousand dollars from the Truckers Christmas Parade.
Various sponsors helped fund the event, allowing this money to go toward the club. The total was originally ten thousand dollars and Mercer Fraser doubled it.
District One Supervisor Rex Bohn has been a part of the Truckers Parade for the past 20 years and stepped up this year to make sure this holiday tradition continues.
Here are the winners for this year’s parade, the Humboldt County Public Works Department took first for the large truck category, Mercer Fraser was second for small trucks, State National Parks and Fish and Wildlife was first and Cancer Crashers was second. Next year’s parade will be December 12th.
