One of Humboldt County’s Own Honored at California on Location Awards

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM) — One of Humboldt’s own is recognized at this year’s California on Location Awards.

Debbie Damiano, an administrative analyst at Humboldt County’s Office of Economic Development, is awarded the California on Location Award for county public employee of the year.

Damiano was nominated by the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission for her work on a 2019 Jeep print advertising campaign that featured numerous locations here on the North Coast. Damiano has been working for the county for 30 years and will soon be retiring on January 20th.

The award is a way to recognize location managers, their teams, and public employees for their efforts in filming in California each year.
