Eureka woman arrested for DUI after crashing into home

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-A  Eureka woman is arrested after she crashes her car into a home.

A Eureka police officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a suspected DUI driver vehicle but the woman failed to yield and continued north on Harrison Avenue. Due to safety reasons, the officer called off the pursuit. A short time later, the officer located the car that had crashed into a home on the 18-hundred block of Harrison.

The driver, 28 year-old Daisy Leen was removed from the vehicle by Humboldt Bay Fire. She was then transported to the hospital for treatment.

Leen was booked on suspicion of DUI, evading, driving while unlicensed and probation violation.  no one was home at the time of the crash.
