EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-A portion of Humboldt Hill Road was closed Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious device containing explosive materials was located.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s office explosive ordnance disposal team responded just before 2pm on the 2300 block of Parkwood Boulevard. Using an EOD robot, deputies rendered the device and collected it for further investigation.
Humboldt Hill Road was closed in both directions during the investigation and was re-opened just before 3:30pm.
This follows after a mysterious package was investigated by EOD Tuesday in McKinleyville.
