SR96 Closed Due to Slide

HAPPY CAMP, Ca. (KIEM)-State Route 96 is closed again due to a slide.

A Caltrans contractor determined the slide 4 miles west of Happy Camp is unsafe for motorists. The section of roadway was closed at 12:30 this afternoon due to current weather conditions activating the slide. There is no estimate when the road will be open, due to continued rain in the forecast through Wednesday.
