Eureka Home Fire

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM)- Over the weekend, a structure fire left one Eureka home with thousands of dollars of damage.

Yesterday evening shortly before 5:45, Humboldt Bay Fire responded to the 5900 block of Myrtle Avenue for reports of a structure fire.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a single wide mobile home with smoke and fire coming from the front door and multiple windows. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes.

According to H.B.F. the fire appears to be accidental and originated near a wall heater.
