Eureka N.A.A.C.P Celebrates the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Today, January 20 at the Adorni Center in Eureka, the N.A.A.C.P. along with many other organizations came together to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior.

From 12 p.m. until 2 p.m., members of the N.A.A.C.P committee were trying to support and promote black-owned businesses in the area.

Long-time N.A.A.C.P members John Lyons, Donna McQueen, and Leslie Price were honored for their work and service towards the community as well.

Three choirs sang at the event and students from the All Humboldt County Black Student Union attended.

Members of the black-owned businesses and local groups had booths set up with over 20 tables there to support the event.
