20th Annual Bowl of Beans Benefit for Arcata Elementary School is a Success

ARCATA, Ca (KIEM)- Residents came out in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and to support the local youth at their 20th annual Bowl of Beans Benefit.

The benefit is sponsored by the Arcata Elementary School and the City of Arcata’s recreation division

Funds raised at the event support the Arcata recreation youth scholarship fund for the arts and Arcata Elementary School’s art program.

All attendees enjoyed rice and beans and performances by the Arcata Elementary School students, the Arcata inter-faith gospel and youth choir.

Guests also participated in a raffle to win prizes donated by local businesses.
