Boy Rescued from Creek

ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM) – A boy is rescued from a creek behind Sunny Brae Middle School. The Arcata Fire District responded just after 10:30 this morning to a location behind the school. Fire crews used chainsaws to remove brush to get to the boy. He was rescued from the creek and transported by Mad River ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Arcata Battalion Chief Curt Watkins told Redwood News his department was thankful for the assistance of school staff and Arcata police.
