Measure Z Project Funding Application Now Available

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Do you have ideas on how to improve public safety in Humboldt County?

The Citizen’s Advisory Committee on Measure Z expenditures is looking for projects that make Humboldt County a better and safer place to live.

Measure Z is a half-cent tax applied to most local purchases to fund public safety and essential services. Some of the projects that have been funded by the measure are ambulance services in Eastern Humboldt on Highway 299, equipment for Volunteer Fire Departments, and road improvements.

Applications for funding are available at the county administrative office in Eureka, or online at the county government’s website.
