Humboldt Bay Firefighters Complete Training

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Members from Humboldt Bay Fire got outdoors today for a rope training session. The department recently put some new gear into service. Today, Fire Captain Russell Boham was on his 3rd platoon training to show firefighters how to be more efficient using the new rope rescue equipment. The scenario: a hiker falls down in the woods, breaks his leg and is unable to walk back up the steep slope.

Boham has attended many training classes by the department and has come back to teach what he has learned. They do the rope training exercise several times a year.
