Eureka, Ca. (KIEM)– Over the weekend an elderly woman’s bag was snatched in front of a local grocery store, but thanks to the help of someone you might least expect her most precious belongings are back with her.

Glenda Hesseltine was grocery shopping at Winco last Saturday when she exited the store around 1:30 in the afternoon. Glenda was walking the shopping cart back to the stall when an unknown male took the purse from the inside of her vehicle and fled through the parking lot.

A bystander stepped in and not only did Eddie chase after the suspect, but he returned hours later searching for her other belongings the suspect fled with. He says he did it because that’s how everyone should act.

Eddie recently fell on hard times and is living out of his truck.

The suspect made away with roughly fifty-dollars. He is described as a white male in his 30-40’s, with red hair and a red beard and wearing red shoes.
