Career Clothing Closet Helps HSU Students Dress for Success

Arcata, Ca. (KIEM) — Humboldt State University is helping students dress for success with their career clothing closet.

Located in Gist Hall, the career clothing closet features professional clothes students can wear for interviews, jobs, or internships. It’s organized by the Academic and Career Advising Center. They’ve wanted to start the closet for a while, but were only recently able to make it a reality.

All of the clothing is donated by staff, faculty, and community members. The best part? All of the clothes are free for students. They can just walk in and take whatever they need, and it’s theirs to keep.

The Academic and Career Advising Center hopes students walk away with not only new clothes, but more confidence in themselves. The career and volunteer expo will be held next Thursday, February 13th from 12-4 pm in the West Gym.
