Professor Stanley Harris Scholarship At Humboldt State University

Professor Stanley Harris

ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM) – A Humboldt State University professor’s legacy lives on through scholarships supporting HSU wildlife students.

Stanley Harris was a wildlife professor at HSU for 33 years.

In 2003, Harris and his wife Lorene endowed three scholarships–two for undergraduates and one for graduate students.

He passed away at the age of 91 on December 27th of last year.

But his legacy lives on through more than 45 students that have benefited by the scholarships, which have been set up to operate in perpetuity, and will help many more students to come.
